Configuration of Front Desk Upselling Deals

If you are already among the Oaky customers who are using our Front Desk Upselling feature, you can:

  • Select which deals should be enabled on the feature.

This is possible by opening the relevant deal in the Oaky dashboard, navigating to the Front Desk Upselling section (Guest Application > Services/Room Upgrades > click on the name of the deal > Front Desk Upselling) and switching on the toggle “Enable for Front Desk Upselling".

Commission Earning

👉 On the Front Desk Upselling screen, you can also enable the Commission Earning toggle which allows front desk agents to profit from selling commission-based deals.

Under Commission Earning you can select the Commission Earning type (Fixed or Percentage) and the corresponding Amount to define the commission rate. The entered commission amount can further be defined to be rewarded as:

  • Money or Points

  • Total (all upsells on the specific reservation) or Per Item (only applicable to Fixed calculation)

Negotiation Range

Hotels can set a negotiation range in Oaky which means defining the minimum and maximum price the front desk can offer for a room upgrade. This gives the front desk flexibility to negotiate within that range while ensuring prices stay within the hotel’s strategy.
