Overview

This guide explains how to:

  • Configure Room Upgrade packages in Opera Cloud

  • Configure Service packages (e.g. breakfast, parking, spa, F&B)

  • Understand supported package configurations

  • Map Opera Cloud packages to Oaky deals

Room Upgrade Package Configuration

A dedicated Room Upgrade package is required for Oaky to post approved room upgrades back into Opera Cloud.

Create the Room Upgrade Package

Go to: Home → Finance → Rate Management → Package Codes → Package Code Configuration

Create a new package and configure the following settings.

General Settings

  • Amount: 0.00

  • Sell Separate: ✔ Enabled

Tax Inclusive

  • ✔ Tick Tax Inclusive if selling rates are inclusive of taxes

  • ❌ Untick Tax Inclusive if selling rates are exclusive of taxes

Posting Attributes (Required)

Configure the posting attributes exactly as below:

  • Posting Type: Add to Rate – Separate Line

  • Calculation Rule: Per Room

  • Posting Rhythm: Post Every Night

Service Package Configuration

Service packages include add-ons such as breakfast, parking, spa services, or F&B offerings.

Create Service Packages

Navigate to:Home → Finance → Rate Management → Package Codes → Package Code Configuration

Create or update the packages you want to sell via Oaky.

Supported Service Package Settings

Oaky supports service packages with the following configuration:

  • Posting Type: Add to Rate – Separate Line (default)

  • Calculation Rule: Flat Rate or Per Room

  • Posting Rhythm: Post Every Night or Post on Certain Nights of the Week

  • Sell Separate: ✔ Enabled

💡 Example: For breakfast packages, use Flat Rate instead of Per Adult to ensure accurate pricing for Oaky and mapping.

Package Allowance (Add to Rate – Combined Line)

If your hotel uses package allowance (commonly for F&B packages):

  • Posting Type: Add to Rate – Combined Line

  • Calculation Rule / Posting Rhythm / Sell Separate: Same as above

⚠️ Important notes

  • Oaky must adjust settings at the integration level to support this setup

  • In rare cases, charges may not appear on the guest bill even if the package is posted

  • This is not an Oaky issue—Opera posts charges based on the transaction code linked to the package

  • Oaky only adds the package to the reservation and creates a note/trace/alert

📘 Refer to below Oracle documentation for package allowance configuration.

Supported Configuration

⚠️ Important Only packages with the following configuration are supported by Oaky:

  • Posting Type: Add to Rate – Separate Line / Add to Rate - Combined Line

  • Calculation Rule: Flat Rate or Per Room

  • Posting Rhythm: Post Every Night or Post on Certain Nights of the Week

  • Sell Separate: Enabled

Packages using other combinations will not appear in the Oaky dashboard.

Group Packages (Package Groups)

Opera Cloud supports Group Packages, which consist of multiple products or services.

Important considerations when using Group Packages with Oaky:

  • Oaky works with a total package price only

  • Prices per individual product are not managed by Oaky

  • For single packages, Oaky may overwrite the price in Opera

⚠️ The total price in Opera Cloud and Oaky must always match. This is not automatically synced.

Note: In case the package (newly created) is not showing in the list for mapping, please reach out to us via chat to manual resync and retrieve the package from Opera Cloud.

Mapping Opera Cloud Packages in Oaky

Once packages are created in Opera Cloud, they must be mapped to Oaky deals.

Request Package Sync

If you add a new package in Opera Cloud:

  • Contact Oaky Support via chat or email at support@oaky.com

  • Provide the package code and package name (with posting attributes if available)

Our Connectivity team will trigger a sync so the package becomes available for mapping.

  2. Locate the package under the 2-way Room Upgrade or 2-way Service section
